“My son has IAH 209 this semester. It has two lectures and a recitation scheduled. Is it typical for it to be asynchronous if the schedule looks like that? He’s an engineering major and typically doesn’t like humanities classes, so I’m a bit nervous about how he’ll do.”

“When you go into the catalog to pick the class and enroll it gives you the topic. I’d recommend making sure you read each topic specifically and determine if it’s something you’re interested in learning about.”

“I liked IAH 209 a lot. It was online asynchronous with no exams, but a good chunk of discussion posts. You watch a movie each week from the 80s and write a post about it. I believe there were two big projects for mid term and final, but that was it. The class was easy and fun! I actually ended up watching a lot of movies I ended up enjoying and…”
